  1. Since Hollywood Pictures is a former subsidiary of Disney and that Danny Elfman composed the jingle, it seems fitting that Danny Elfman became a Disney Legend in 2015!

  2. The theme was written by Danny Elfman, and I would guess that he did it as a result of his scoring the film Dick Tracy in 1990. Dick Tracy was released by Touchstone, itself a subsidiary of Disney, and Elfman didn't appear to compose for any other Disney company films around this period. I assume that the powers at Disney asked him to write this as the year 1990 was also the year that Hollywood Pictures started releasing films.
