In today’s vlog I head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what’s new this week around the park. I take a look at Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land construction updates. Then I tried to ride a few rides while I was there but because I didn’t have any fast passes already selected I didn’t have a lot of options. I was able to get on the Great Movie ride but that was pretty much it. It seems like it’s getting harder and harder to have a spontaneous disney trip and still book fast passes on the day of. I met Moana at her meet and greet area in the back of One Man’s Dream, because her line was pretty short. We haven’t seen the movie yet but the meet and greet was really fun! Have you seen the movie, what did you think? As I was leaving I had some issues with my magic band and with the My Magic + system in general, so I couldn’t book anymore Fast Passes for the day. Not being able to use the Fast Pass system and with the long ride queues, I was able to complete my Hollywood Studios day in about an hour and a half. I’m really looking forward to what’s to come and I can’t wait to see what Hollywood Studios has in store for us in the future but for now, it’s just not our favorite park. Thanks for watching and we’ll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

  1. watching this in 2019 is tragic bc all i want to do is ride the great movie ride 🙁

  2. Got to be honest – visited this year (long after this video) and I feel that even with the addition of Toy Story Land, the park is still the worst one. They’ve closed down The Great Movie Ride so there are still only six rides in the whole park (Tower, Rock’n, Star Tours, Slinky Dog, Saucers, and Mania). I appreciate it’s supposed to be all about the shows there, but even they are not so great when you visit in summer and everything gets cancelled due to inclement weather. It was definitely my most disappointing day. I would probably only do it again for half a day, ride everything, see all the (decent) shows, then go elsewhere and come back for Fantasmic. HS is not worth a whole day until Galaxy’s Edge opens.

  3. Disney Hollywood Studios is just not that charming to me anymore. I feel bad for anyone who uses a non park hopper to visit . There’s just not a lot to see or do.

  4. I loved this park no matter what other people say. I just loved it.

  5. I unfortunately went in the muppets theatre show, last May. It was terrible. I had seen it in its prime but my in laws hadn’t. I was embarrassed to take them to the show and to the park as a whole.

  6. Disneys hollywood studios is not worth my time in my opinion. The other parks just give you extra special disney magic, if that makes sense. It just doesn’t feel like disney to me. But i would go to universal over hollywood studios any day. The only time it’s worth going there is seeing fantasmic.

  7. The Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster has been shut down frequently lately, so with ride closures and until Galaxy's Edge opens, Hollywood Studios has definitely become a half day park.

  8. Oh for the paper fast pass ticket days. I still have an un-used Tower one.

  9. +TheTimTracker Who do you think executed the wild river ride better. Disney's Kali River Rapids in the Animal Kingdom or Universal Orlando's Popeye & Pluto's Bilge-Rat Barges.

  10. Not trying to be rude, but don't say you couldn't do anything you could have you just didn't want to wait. Don't blame you I wouldn't want to wait either but just saying it's not that you couldn't you just didn't want to wait. Not a Disney fan at all but now that they are doing so much construction in Hollywood studios there isn't much there right now

  11. Good thing you live there…it really stinks when you’re on vacation.

  12. With Toy Story land and Galaxy's edge coming, it'll definitely be one of my favorite parks! Also, it has fantasmic and Tower Of Terror, so it's all good! Ahah

  13. Epcot is really out dated and the worst park. Animal kingdom was not that good either. Hollywood studio's is number 2 and Magic kingdom is still number 1. But the last years Universal made some huge changes. But now Star Wars is big cash for Disney and now they go make some big changes. And probaly a new park in the UK. But prices get way over the top. And i hope they not overkill Star Wars with to much spinoffs from the movies.
