ABOUT AMERICAN IDOL
AMERICAN IDOL, the iconic series that revolutionized the television landscape by pioneering the music competition genre, returned to the airwaves in February 2019 for its third season at its new home on ABC. The nationwide search for the next superstar kicked off in August 2018, as the Idol Bus traveled from Portland, Oregon, to Orlando, Florida, in its pursuit for talent, covering 23 cities across the country. Auditioning was made easier than ever as hopefuls also had the opportunity to submit audition videos online, as well as via select social media platforms using an official tag, #TheNextIdol, cultivating over 300,000 posts. Also, for the first time in “American Idol” history, hopefuls had the opportunity to audition through a livestream platform. Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation, are music industry forces and superstar judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Emmy® Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the beloved series.

31 thoughts on “Louis Knight vs. Genavieve Linkowski: Pop Singers Fight It Out In Hollywood Week @American Idol

  1. Amazing performance. For me, I think hands down Louis Knight should win. This kid is basically a pro competing against amateurs. I like his song selection and ability to perform. I'm surprised so many people think this show is all about singing ability. It's not. It's about the whole package: charisma, confidence, people skills, singing ability, hard work, song selection, songwriting ability. There are tons of belters out there who are still working at a minimum wage job.
Not gonna name names, but there are alot of brutal performances on this show.

  2. I’m rooting for Genevieve but I don’t know how far she’ll go with these piano songs. I think she needs to sing the type of songs like she does on her YouTube channel if she wants to really WOW the judges.

  3. The dude can sing his abc’s and I’d cry Jesus….. idk what it is but certain voices trigger my tears lol

  4. He has really good tone, but need to project better. She has a good voice if you listen to her songs on her channel. But it's important for her to pick the right songs.

  5. Louis is very forgettable. Not impressed with him at all. Genevieve is cringy for some reason….

  6. hope jonny west, louis knight and francisco martin. will form a group. that would be really cool.

  7. He DOESN'T live in Philly, ffs..he lives in the suburbs.
Hate when people try to co-op inner city cred.. it's a pet peeve….

  8. I love Genevieve, have loved her and will continue loving what she does whenever she sets foot on stage as well as the human being she is when she gets off the stage

  9. She carries a lot of stress in her voice and it's a bit thin. Louis has a much more mature sound. Agree with judges he should have been a bit more dynamic in his approach, but still, he's in another class from her.
