  1. There have been over 300 documented serial killers in the US, but these dramatized, CIA funded series rehashing the same cases would make you believe otherwise. It can only be propaganda to instill fear in the general populace and promote submission to government authority. In actuality, the public should be demanding answers to why current serial killers are not being caught with all of the drones and surveillance technology available. While numerous convictions occurred concerning cases in the 70's-90's, only a couple of offenders have been convicted in the last decade. Yet, hundreds of thousands of women and children are missing/murdered every year; many of whom are victims to such perpetrators.
    Furthermore, these programs are so dumbed down and geared towards the most ignorant members of society, it is even more offensive that Oxygen has decided to become a "true crime" network airing multiple programs rehashing cases, like ID, from earlier 20/20, Dateline, and/or Disappeared programs, only using D-level actors and horrible, inexperienced "reporters."
