Episode # 5320 HOLLYWOOD STORY
Original airdate: 1/31/54

Loretta Young plays a small town girl who dreams of fame and fortune in Hollywood.

This is the classic story of an innocent girl named Madge who goes west in search of celebrity, and finds that making it in Tinseltown as not as easy as it is made out to be.

This episode features Jacqueline deWit, a popular film and TV character actress who appeared in over two dozen films, including Spellbound, The Snake Pit, The Damned Don’t Cry!, Tea and Sympathy, All That Heaven Allows and Harper.

Ms. deWit also made numerous appearances on other TV series such as Wagon Train, The Lineup, The Monkees, and most notably, in the iconic 1959 The Twilight Zone episode “Time Enough at Last”, in which she played the nagging wife of the lead character played by Burgess Meredith. She died in Los Angeles on January 7, 1998 at age 85.

  1. That's GEORGE O' HANLON, the voice of George Jetson, as her agent. He was also known as "Joe McDoaks".

  2. I’ve watched her in movies and on tv since I was a young boy. I am now 70 and still find her amazing.

  3. Loretta Young was born in Los Angeles, and was a Star in movies from very early on in her life, then successful in radio and television. How she got started is very interesting, but too long for these comments.
